Do I need a new brand, a rebrand or a brand refresh?

Unless you’re launching a completely new business it can sometimes be tricky to know exactly where the lines are drawn between needing a whole new brand or simply updating the existing one.

A good rule of thumb is that if your brand strategy is staying the same, you need a refresh. If your brand strategy has changed you need a rebrand.

New Brand if…

  • You don’t have any current brand identity
  • You are launching a new company, product or service
  • You don’t have a brand strategy yet
  • Your proposition has completely changed

Rebrand if…

  • You need a totally new identity
  • If you have a completely new brand strategy
  • Your brand vision and mission has changed

Brand Refresh if…

  • You want a visual or tonal update to “course correct” and stay current

What if I don't need a full brand package?

In some cases you may not need a full new brand, rebrand or refresh. This could be because:

  • You have done some work on it already yourself
  • You have people in-house who can do some aspects of the work process in house, but need support in some specialist areas
  • You don’t have the data to be sure how well your current brand is performing
  • You just want help with the initial planning right now to get things in line for a business case or funding application.

In cases like these, we can help you with one of our standalone services.

These are included as part of the larger brand packages but can be done in isolation.

Common standalone packages include:

  • Simple visual identity creation (logo, fonts, colours, mood boards)
  • Brand workshops 
  • Brand Audits

If any brand identity package is commissioned from Buzzbar within 1 month of completion of a standalone service, the cost of the standalone service  will be deducted from the cost of the chosen brand identity package.

Of course! If you are launching a new product or service, or bringing new channels into your marketing mix, then we can help with smaller projects to create those identities for you.
